MyJAMS awarded £25,000 Live & Immersive R&D grant
MyJAMS Ltd, the ARME spin-off company, has received a £25,000 grant from the CreaTech Frontiers Live & Immersive Innovation Fund.
The award will support continued research and development of immersive music technology and responsive virtual musicians for rehearsal and performance. This work extends ARME’s research on timing, synchronisation, and adaptive virtual ensemble partners towards practical applications for musicians, educators, and creative organisations.
The Live & Immersive Innovation Fund supports creative-technology projects in the West Midlands across live performance and immersive experiences. The £250,000 fund is providing ten grants of £25,000 to freelancers, microbusinesses, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
CreaTech Frontiers is a five-year, £7.2 million initiative led by Birmingham City University and funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, part of UK Research and Innovation.

Associate professor
Max Di Luca is the lead PI of the project. He is Associate Professor at the University of Birmingham (UK) in the Centre for Computational Neuroscience and Cognitive Robotics.
