First recording session
At the BCU media labs, with our partners Semantic audio and Partplay, we recently recorded the musicians of the Coull quartet performing numerous pieces from Haydn and Beethoven. We asked the Coulls to play the parts multiple times in different styles (also in trios and duos formations).

Official start of the project
We are excited that on September 1st the project has officially started! So many things to do now. We are in the planning phase of the first set of recordings. We will have multiple days of recordings with the Coull Quartet (see also their Facebook page) by our scientists together with our industry partners PartPlay and SemanticAudio.

Marek Sinason Memorial Fund award
We are pleased to have offered the Marek Sinason Memorial Fund award for the summer 2021 to Katrina Galsworthy. She earned the BSc in Liberal Arts and Sciences in Birmingham, for which she majored in Psychology, and continued to the MSc in Computational Neuroscience and Cognitive Robotics.

Virtual talk by Dobri Dotov
ARME invited Dobri Dotov for a cirtual talk. Dr Dotov is a postdoc at the LiveLab at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. He has experience in modelling virtual synchronising partners. He will share his experience in using the Kuramoto oscillator model to capture musical partners synchronization.
