ARME demonstrations at the University of Birmingham Annual Meeting

ARME was demonstrated at the University of Birmingham 2023 Annual Meeting, where more than 100 attendees experienced the project through three demonstrations.

The demos showed virtual musicians synchronising to participant tapping through audio and audiovisual replay. This gave public and university audiences a direct way to experience ARME’s central idea: virtual performers that can respond to a real user’s timing instead of simply playing back a fixed recording.

The activity helped communicate the project’s research on ensemble synchronisation, timing models, and immersive rehearsal to a broad regional audience.
